Aftermath of Pentas Janji... the Post Mortem

I thought there would be some chit chats and thought that there would be a brief idea for the whole academic year but....... it just came down to the screening of Pentas Janji which happened on the 23rd of April, 2007 at Temasek Polytechnic's the Renaissance, Audi 1.

So there we were, sitting in the lecture theatre and all of us were all ears, eyes and mind on to the screen which was playing the whole show of Pentas Janji, from beginning 'til the tragic ending.

I was looking out for Nira's item and surely, there it was. It brought back the smiles, tears and sweat that we had during the preparation of the whole performance. The songs, the acting, the whole set. It was simply memorable to say the least. I just smiled watching and definitely had to sing along.

Gema tabuh bergeduk, resah hati tak diendah
Minda hiruk-pikuk, kian rencam tak berarah
Jiwa kian berkecamuk, terbelakah nasib yang pasrah
Cekal hati memadam amuk, demi mereka ku rela.....

It was definitely a hari nangis for all of us on that particular day, so says Caca. Haha. Apaaa siaakk hari nangis? like whaaattt??

So kept on watching the whole of Pentas Janji video at LT 20 Business School. PST's performance was definitely hot. The most laughs and comedies can happen soo much in just a whole 15 minutes...

Apa rahsia kemenangan muuuu..??
Mahaguruuuuuuu...~~

Bila-bila tak ada kalaaahhhh~~~

Ahahahahahhaha!! We were all laughing sampai perut muscle akoo mintak hampun siaakk! PST's performance was definitely the most funniest walaupun last minute dan ader yang tak ter-expect, or ter-lupa, or macam2 lagik laa. Hahahahahha!!! Sungguh kelakar laaaa!!!!

But the whole Pentas Janji was definitely a success eventhough shiets did happen along the way but that's all normal. Nothing can be expected out of anything.

I'm looking forward to see-ing the freshies that chose to join Nira. Damn, I'm so gonna love the whole bunch, and pamper them to the maxest so that they would stay with Nira. I want to prove my worthiness of being an SGH to these new bunch of girls and also to the current bunch of Nira-ians. The current bunch are my most treasured ones because they have made Nira what it is now and with the new ones coming in, I have to make sure that Nira is favoured and also exposed to MAG and even to the school.

What I would wanna achieve is......

  • To bring back all my girls from last year.
  • To make them stay until they graduate from TP.
  • To pamper the new ones soo much and make them feel accepted into Nira.
  • To make the new ones stay in Nira.
  • To bond the juniors and freshies soo much.
  • To make Nira a group which is fun, enjoyable, memorable and make every experience worthwhile, with the importance of friendship, commitment and also the spirit of each and every girl in the group.
  • Nira is one and we have the companionship even out of Nira.

It's not all about performing together but also to share problems, suggestions and ideas with each other to improve ourselves and also help one another.

I do not want to see my girls following the wrong route to get out of trouble's way or getting themselves involve in unhealthy acts. I want to see each and everyone of these girls becoming successful, especially in their character building. The thought of having any of these girls just crumbling down to the ground, is un-imaginable.

That's the last thing that would ever cross my mind.....

Arts Fest...where cock ups burst into laughter....

Today was N2T's Arts Fest cum CCA Recruitment Drive performance. It's our debut performance to the freshies of AY07/08 and it's to "promote" MAG as a whole and also Nira as a sub-group of MAG. So we attracted many eyes of the freshies and also the juniors with the fresh LIME GREEN colour of our costumes. If the traffic police needed to recruit, I think we would qualify...... to become standbys for the green lights at traffic lights of course.

So, the performance was oookaaayyy. Not our greatest, though not our worst because we never were good. Seperti kata Fid, "Kiter tak hebat."

I mean its true. We are not great. We aren't professionals at this. So we are bound to suck at times and we make mistakes. That's normal. So yeah.

At least, when we performed, there was a crowd watching us perform. That was the best thing because it goes to show that people do look forward to us perform after the amount of exposure that we had last year. I just love performing. It's becoming my very own passion. But that's kinda strong to describe it because I'm not a 110% into the performing arts scene. However, I still just love doing performances. I love see-ing people who are entertained by our performances. It gives me a sense of satisfaction.

That was our performance and I was totally in love with our costume because it was just so perfect. A whole complete set with a nice head dress. I love it........

So that was Arts Fest. Even without tha whole lot of bunch that Nira originally started out with last year, we still managed to pull through it this time. I love these girls.

Oh and I just had to blog about this.... I have a friend or rather just an aquaintance, or maybe to be more direct, a friend of a friend... He shared an experienced with a typical "thinks-he's-cool" mat at the MRT station. And so, he shares his story with us...

Aku that time naik MRT sebab motor aku rosak. Abe
aderla kan pat satu MRT station nih la kan. Aku ternampak nih mamat dgn matair dier la. Mamat nih fierce ah. Kes angkong siao ah eh satu tangan abe muka maintain fierce aje. MRT nye pintu dah nak tutup tau, so matair dier tu pon suro laa nih mamat cepat sikit jadi boleh masok train. Tengah ramai ah so si matair dier tu cepat jalan abe masok la MRT. Dah tu si Mamat niii eh....... dier ckap aper tau.......

"Osss.....ossss.....ossssssssss" *while doing some action with his hands*

Dah "Osss....Osssss.....", pintu
MRT pon tutop. Si mamat ni pon dah kener tinggal dgn matair dier. Abe dah tu
action cool, suro matair dier jumpe pat de nxt stop. KIWAAAKK!!! LEPAAAAKKKK
LAAAA SIAAAAAKKK!!!!!!!!

Apaaa iaaaakkkk "OOOSSSSSSSS"?!?!?!?!?! LOL!!!!! Sungguh lepaaaakkkkk!!!!!!

School's starting..

Ok, most of the time I would be asleep by now, but I just had to blog...simply because....

I CHANGED MY SKIN!!!!!

I was getting ubber bored with my previous one so I decided to play around with patterns and brushes, and taaa-daaaa...

The inspiration came from an original skin from Blogskins.com and it took me a while to find one really nice one and that fits well with my taste.

So here is the new skin and I love it!

***********************************

So how has the weekends been for me?

Well, not really much happened though.

On Friday, I had something new on me. I'll let it out once my friends see it. It caused me discomfort and of course pain because of the pressure for the past 3 days or so. I couldn't eat properly, or so to say, open my mouth widely. But then again, I had to endure because I wanted it. Oh well... It's causing major dry-ness to my mouth and lips so I guess I need to start bringing a lipbalm. I'll get one tomorrow or something.

On Saturday, I had my week-ly madrasah lessons and after that, went to Bugis for another slimming session. Mama went with me because she was having a massage session there. I was suppose to get a body scrub done but somehow, there wasn't enough time to do that. So that was left to be done on my next appointment there. Damn. My slimming treatments are making me waaay dizzy and I tire alot. bleargh..

Anyways, after Mahgrib there was a Doa Selamat/Belajar at Nek Cik Tah's house. It's like a fortnight-ly thingy that my family practices. So as to "mengeratkan silaturahim dan menimba ilmu dari segi agama".

Waaahhh, macam paham jer akoo ni. Tawu takpeeeeeeee...

Oh, and also, all this while I didn't know what Tiramisu is like, how it looks like, what it really is and how is the taste like.
On that particular day at Nek Cik Tah's house......

The answer to my questions. YES! There was tiramisu.... and oh my gaawwddd.. it was UBBER DELICIOUS! It was simply indulgence to satisfy my cravings for a suh-weet and mouth watering dessert. *drools*

Tiramisu is definitely my new found love. I need more of this sweet indulgence. I'm having a sugar rush and the feeling is orgasmic.

My weekend is done with a stay-at-home Sunday. Did nothing basically, except for editing this perfect "oh-my-gawd-i-just-fell-in-love-with-it" blogskin. Haha. Watched Miss Singapore Universe and seriously, I was never a fan for that contest. I mean, not to criticise the knowledgable judges of course, but maayynn, I thought Christabel Campbell would win. She speaks so well, definitely has the looks and she just has alot of stage presence. What more, spontaneous and is comfortable on the stage.

I don't think Singapore has that much of a potential to go on to the international scene in this area and get recognised. I mean, does Singapore really has a unique identity besides the multi-racial society that she has now? I mean reality-check, Singapore girls are very typical. It's not all about intelligence. The first few rounds of the pageant is all about looks. I don't have any offence against Jessica Tan winning because at the start of the show, it was so obvious that she's the winner because of the scores.

How often do you see Miss Singapore Universe actually making it through to the 2nd round of the international pageant? Hardly.

So, we need to get real beauties. The intelligence has to come later. That's just reality. What the girls really need to have is wisdom, spontaneous-ity and confidence. All intelligence won't be of much advantage.

Ok ok. Enough with that. Today, school is starting and I'm looking forward to it. Not much of the Monday blues I guess since my Mondays are all lectures from 9-2. My timetable sucks big time nonetheless. I just don't understand why school has to be a torture. bleargh.....

Life's never pleases anyone. It's the experiences.

I just had to blog

Something was running through my mind after I got home from the briefing at school yesterday afternoon, after see-ing the freshies at school. A year passed so fast and now I'm no more a freshman. Wow! How fast time flies....

So anyways, after the briefing, I went home since I had nowhere else to go and the rest of my friends didn't attend their briefing. So I boarded bus 8 and at that time, the secondary school students just ended their school hours. So bus 8 was not packed but filled with like a mere 75% of secondary school students. *I do not wish to disclose the school name so as not to offend anyone because what I'm gonna blog about will be about people from this particular school*

I was with Yi Lin since both of us took the same bus to get home. So we got a seat somewhere at the back of the bus. Then infront of us, there were 2 secondary students. Oh well, what can be so bothering about 2 students?

I'm someone who is very aware of my surroundings whether I'm alone or with someone else. Somehow these 2 students caught my attention because of the image that they were potraying.
  • Both were wearing school uniform.
  • One had almost "thick" make up on.
  • One was sloppily dressed in her uniform.
  • Both had very short skirts, almost to a mini.
  • One had a piercing above the lip.
  • One had below the lip.
  • Both had tongue piercings.
  • Both had super THIN eyebrows, which is almost not there.

It just bothers me la see-ing the way they dressed. I mean if they had the nerve to dress up like that in school, what more if they are in their normal attire when they are in public. I mean you are still like eons away from becoming an adult. Can't all that come like after secondary school or something? These people just can't wait to grow up whereas for me, I don't want to grow up. I mean, even if I'm still a measly teenager, the fun that we have during childhood where we have no responsiblities to worry about, nothing to care for it's uncomparable *or is it incomparable* to how we behave as a teenager.

That wasn't the only encounter though. After I alighted the bus, I went to grab a nice Peach Ice Blend from the bubble tea shop. Then there was a few secondary school boys who were queue-ing up for their drinks. Then somehow another 2 more boys came and I overheard their conversation....

Boy 1: Eh you saw *...* or not?

Boy 2: No la. But I saw got people running sia just now.

Boy 1: Eh, you help me hold my bag first, I go there see.

So this Boy 1 went I don't know where and then came back there in like a minute or so.

Boy 3: Eh, you all don't gather here la. Wait they see la....

Boy 1: Ok ok. Anything you just meet me under my block hor...

Boy 2 : Ok ok. Wait we come..

So after all that, I just kept on looking and listening, but of course I didn't make it obvious that I was eavesdropping on them. After they bought their drinks, there was this another boy who came over....

Boy 2: Eh, where you go sia? *......* looking for you sia...

Boy 4: Wahh, just now they beat me like hell siaa. I wanted to run, but how to run siaa! They beat me like this *there was some hand actions here*

By this time, they were walking off already. Hell yes, I managed to get alot from a very typical school teenager conversation eventhough I had no idea at all about whatever they were talking about but since I came from a secondary school which is well, "infamous", I had a lil grasp of what they were talking about. In my heart, I just imagined myself shaking my head but I just looked as though I didn't care at all about what they were doing and talking about.

I just don't know where some teenagers get the idea that all this is a trend amongst them. I mean, seriously, I haven't see such thing happening in front of me but I do hear about them. Why can't anyone just lead simple lives? I guess simplicity is too much of a complexity.

Sometimes we tend to concentrate too much on the hardest things that we screw up our ABC's & 123's.

Oh well, that's life for you..

The metal is going in, in 7 days....

lacking of updates

It's coming to 2 weeks and this blog has been lacking of updates. I always told myself, "I'm gonna update my blog today." But always it ends up....

  • I'm pure lazy
  • I totally forgot about it (Trust me, my memory needs upgrading. Do they sell it at Sim Lim Square?)
  • I had something else to do.
  • I'm too busy....

Ok so forget all that and here I am now.

I've tried out the new 3D messenger IMVU and I'm getting addicted to it. It's real cool and you can interact with your avatar. For now, this is my character... *trust me, my character is too good to be true. LOL!*

Last week had Arts Induction Camp and I'm totally in loves with the new committee. YAY! Too many stupid and corny jokes to make up for the boredom having to listen to every lecture in the lecture theatre regarding leadership skills and how stuff goes about when you become a leader and all that. I thought it would be some boring camp, but with tht great company, it was fun. Haha!

That was camp. Next would be my uncle's engagement on 8th April 2007. Yes, it's like eons ago. Oh well... nothing much to comment about. I'll just put up a picture of the daras that were present on that day.

Ok, another relative which has take another step in life. So Congrats Abg Zul on the engagement.

Congrats also to Eddy and Mas on their engagement on 7th April 2007.

Ok. What else happened? Hmm...... Oh, I straightened my hair.

I don't know whether the difference is that much. But wadeva, I love my hair now. No more frizzy ends and horrible waves.

Ok done.

its been a while...

So its been a while since I've updated anything... so here goes...

Holidays.. been boring. But I've got multiple appointments to attend so I guess that will help fill up my holidays....

I came to Changkat band on Monday and oh how I miss that band so much. They were practicing for their SYF performance which is gonna be on the 9th April *i think* and the first band to perform for that day. WooHoo.

So anyways, that was Monday. Past two days, did nothing. Just baked some cookies for Friday's kenduri at my place. Yesterday, was bored so decided to get down to some creative work with Windows Movie Maker. Hehe....

I compiled alot of pictures and then here it is.......

P.S. My editing skills are still amatuer-ish. It turned out abit bad here n there after i saved the movie, but nvm.

Well, that was about a day's work. See how much free time I actually have. LOL!

Anyways, tomorrow wld be hectic ard the house. There is a kenduri here and all family members are invited, and I mean ALL which is refering to the Jalan Kechot generation. Looking forward to it. I mean it's not all the time that you get this many guests at your house.

Oh and guess what....

I GOT A NEW HANDPHONE!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy. Thanks to my beloved Papa. He decided to buy me a new one since I....

PASSED MY SUPP PAPER!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, haha. I'm currently in a total mentally unstable condition to think straight. I mean like c'mon man. 2 great things happening. What more could I ask for? *actually there is more, but I lete dat be kept unknown. better dat way...*

So, it's been totally sweet for me.

I also am beginning my duties as an SGH for Nira. God knows how kanchiong giler babi I was when I received SMSes from the newly appointed president of MAG and the ex-SGH about the admin stuff. Submitting names and all that for the upcoming performance, a camp going on next week.

I got soo kanchiong giler babi that I got mixed with my dates n days. *Ainn knows abt it...*

So, I'm keeping my cool. I'm trying to get everything organised by next week. Too bad my weekends are packed this week. Too many family events. But then again, I always spend time on my laptop doing something else rather then getting the necessary done. Shhh...~

Next week is gonna be another packed week for me. Oh well, soo much for boring holidays. Haha. I end up going some place else.

Oh, and DANIELLE is my new found love..!!!!!!!

Too bad, the last episode was yesterday. Can there be another season puh-lease!!!?!?!

April Fool!!!!!

I was out for the whole day. Not exactly whole day but I just didn't bother to go online. Only an hour ago, I signed in to my MSN... and I received this...
Miza: OI
Me: yo
Miza: what the hell is ur problem sak
Me: wad problem? huh?
Miza: ntah. ask urself ah sak. what you did to me. dah backstab org lagi tanye. baik uh eh
Me: sejak biler akoo backstab kao? akoo seriously dun get it siol
Miza: KAU BOBAL BLKG AKU!!!
I think by this time, Miza dah boring dengan ke-blur-an, ke-bodoh-an dan ke-bengap-an aku. Aku rase, dier dah ketawe2 pat dpn computer dier tuh haahh..!!!

Me: sejak biler siak? sape blg kao akoo bobal blakang kao? n pasal aper? i get it its 1st April. -.-. APRIL FOOL!
Miza: NAQIAH!
Me: huh
Miza: APRIL'S FoOL~. !!!!!!!

Nice one eh Miza. Nasib baik akoo bodoh, slow dan bengap. Sudah terserlah. Huahuahuahua!! Oh, and lucky akoo orgnyer rilek. Kalao tak, akoo dah cuak siol. *mcm WANI. kan? =)*
Aper je Miza!!!! Huahuahuahuahuahua!!!

Haiz, dahlah takde hp. Waktu maner ntah si Miza ni ikot, ckap akoo bobal blakang dier. Hp akoo rosak. Akoo dah consperm nak suro papaku tercinta belikan hp. Second hand pon takpe la. Asalkan ader hp. Mcm senyap siol takde hp. Eish, soo de unusual de feeling tau.

Anyway, I went to catch TMNT at GV Marina last Thursday with someone. Oh, and TMNT is totally CAWABANGA DUDE!!!!! Micheal Angelo has always been my favourite. He is the joker, and he's the one who makes TMNT fun to watch, not like normal action cartoons like Spiderman, Batman or Superman.

I give TMNT....

4/5 Popcorns!!!!

It's a really nice movie. Funny and not all action. So it's really an enjoyable movie to watch. Nonetheless, it's a short movie so don't expect to much from the plot. All in all, the movie shares the importance of severing brotherhood and not let age or position ruin the relationship among siblings. What the 4 turtles have been doing, that is to save lives, has made them realise that they have to put their differences and wants aside and act as ONE team. Since the duration of the movie might feel short when watching it, don't worry about it. It's not a bore to watch TMNT.

So my plans for next week would be busy preparing for Friday's kenduri at my place. Oh well, at least I have something to do during the holidays. My days are filled with different appointments and going out with different people.
I think, you're now the reason why I wake up smiling everyday.
