enjoy-zing

Gosh, my holidays are awesome ooorrr whaaatttt....

First the Cruise, and yesterday I just got back from an overnight shopping spree over at Batam. LOL! (aku suker. nak lagi pls.)

So Batam....

Nothing much. Just loads and loads of shopping. Mostly food stuff. Mum stocked up on alot of the household items.

And I had a change in hairstyle. I decided to crop it abit, layer it more, make it more thin, highlight it and enhance my curls digitally. (rambot aku dah mcm maggi mee. haha. funky la siah. old skool.. zaman Saloma buat twist kat club Dondang Sayang) LOL. Now I have to wait for my hair to grow longer so that it would look much much better because right now, the curls are all over the place and my hair looks too thin at the bottom.

Other than the change in hair, did some shopping. Bought a few tops. Didn't get any bottoms though because Indonesians are small in size. Would you believe that their free size tops are of the "M" size here. So much for being "free". Goes the same for the men apparels. Don't they eat there? Gosh. No offence meant. Haha.

Shopping aside, food was good. Had the famous Ayam Penyet and also the Nasi Padang with their traditional home made dishes. Marvellous. Too bad my teeth were still getting used to having two metal bars instead of one. Now I'm having really bad ulcers. Gosh this sucks. Howells, I have to go on a soft diet. No hard foods for me. Who knows, I might shed a few weight off. lol.

And of course, what's Batam without bringing home the famous and loved J.Co Donuts.

I bought 2 dozens back home. TWO DOZENS! *throws confetti in air*

Now, DROOL PEOPLE! *insert evil laughter here*

Signing off
The always funky, crazy and sometimes mentally retarded..
Yours truly.....

Peace for the camera! :)

Marshmallow game - Just for laughs!

The Japanese don't fail to make me laugh so hard til my stomach, cramps and my eyes, tear from laughing soo hard.

Check this out....

The Marshmallow Eating Game

This is sooo damn funny!!!!

OMG!!! Some of them really looked like popeye! Haha.

I was bloghopping and came across Amira's (Nira) blog, and she posted the video. It was first seen on Ellen DeGeneres's show. I googled for that episode on Ellen's show but it wasn't as funny as the original. Gosh. I still can't stop laughing just watching the video.

These Japanese, they're not at all shy to participate in such games. Singapore should come up with such games, so that Singaporeans would learn to take a "chill pill" and relax. Singaporeans are too petty and sensitive, in my opinion though. Haha.

Well anyways, just for your laughs! :)

it's almost a year

It has almost been a year that I've had my braces on. In less then two hours, I will have be getting the braces for my upper teeth.

Yes, it's already coming to a year. One more year and I'm done. So fast la siah!

Gosh, I don't know how I would look like with braces that are really showing.

For those who still don't know..
Yes people. I'm wearing braces. For the past year, I'm only wearing it for the lower teeth. That explains why it wasn't that obvious.

Well people, wish me luck! :)

P.S I enjoyed talking to you last night :)

Aftermath of the SEA performance..

The Singapore Tourism Board organised an event called the Singapore Education Awards and Nira was invited to perform for the event. It was a first to actually attend an award show. Well, ya know..those shows, where people receive awards and then give their thank you speeches. Such events are usually private events and those who come to watch it are all based on invites only.

Denise Keller was the host. Oh my, she was damn tall and damn gorgeous, and very skinny!!! And to top all that.. she has that spunk to her personality.
The girls who are giving out the awards are also very pretty. SOOO TALL!! Diorg pia height, wa ckap sama lu.. mcm bedek la siah. Suspek kuat, diorg salah mkn.

Well anyways, other than that, it was a great performance. Had loads of fun, made new friends, loads of pictures taken and we simply rocked the stage that night.

After the event, we took the opportunity to eat the food at the reception. Raffles Hotel dok! Apa lagi, amik kesempatan untuk melantak!

It was a great performance. Really. Thanks Nira and of course, LOADS of thanks to the friends who helped out for the performance! :)

Sayang korang many2!

Those were the days..

Nira Nyertika has been a part of me ever since I stepped into my tertiary education stage. I didn't know that I would be so attached to the group til now. No matter how up there or how down the group is/was, it just made me wanted to stay with the group more.

I was going through all those old pictures of Nira and the different performances we had. Those funny moments, the candid pictures, the ugly shots, the fun performances.

Gosh. I miss those times like super alot.

Thanks to Sai, I found a video of a performance, 2 years ago. It was for DeepaRaya and gosh, that performance was super fun siah. Too bad it's only a min+.

Anyone has the full video? Tell me okays.

Oh wells.. time waits for noone.

Nira, Nira...
Aku saayaaaannnggg koraanng tau.
Touching la pulak aku ni.
Benci aaahhhh....

maaf ye. berbahasa melayu kejap...

Aku kadang-kadang SELALU bingung tau.

Nak mengaku kalah.. tak mungkin.
Aku tak senang berputus asa.
Dan aku harus mempertimbangkan perasaan mereka.

Nak biarkan sahaja.. pon tak boleh jugak.
Nanti org kata yang aku ni tak buat kerja.

Nak bernasihat.. kener tgk keadaan.
Tak pasal-pasal aku kener tuduh masuk campur hal org la kan.

Jadi... apa yang harus aku buat?

Tak senang nak menjalankan tugas sebegini. Tapi aku sudah dilantik. Dan kemungkinan besar, tugas ni akan pergi ke tangan orang lain. Pelapis? Tak tau la pulak. Insyallah...

Tapi, keadaan sekarang ni, aku tgk.. aku seperti kehilangan.

Orang kata, kalau jatuh bangun sendiri.

Tapi kalau dah patah kaki?

Tu dah lain story....

Step Up 2: The Streets

This is THE MOVIE YAW!!!!

DA BOMB!! DA BOMB!!!

Gosh... the groovin', the spins, the twirls, the break dancing, the popping...!! It was a some awesome shit mayn.

And the soundtrack.. AWWWEEESSSSSOOOMMMEEEE!!!

"Shawty get low low low low low low low low low low...~"

I was at the edge of my seat, gawking at their moves. Seriously, the choreography... is super cool la. This movie is a must watch. I'm getting the DVD once it's out. I can watch it over and over and over and over again.

GF!! I WANNA WATCH AGAIN! lol.

Well, today had my bike prac, and halfway throught it, it rained sooooo heavily that we had to wait for a full 1/2 hour before carrying on. The instructor, Faisal, said that Yio Chu Kang is very prone to lightning strikes. No idea why though. So they had to take precautions. After about 1/2 hour, it began to get lighter but still heavy though. So had to ride in the rain, ending up with wet clothes to go home in, even after wearing the raincoat. My shoes made squishy sounds with every step and I was stinky too. lol.

Alhamdulillah, today's practical was alright. I didn't fall and so far so good. I'm having good control over the bike, I'm abit more confident when making my turns and I'm already making loads of good progress, well, to me that is. C'mon Naqiah. Go all out on this and then you can start concentrating on your Class 3A 3 right after your Class 2 is over. :)

On a lighter note, my flu has subsided. Thank God. But since I got caught in the rain at bike prac today, I'm having quite a headache and beginning to sneeze non stop. So the tissue box will have to sleep with me tonight.

Anyway,

WATCH STEP UP 2: THE STREETS!

today was funny

I was on the bus on my way home with Ayu. We were from HomeTeamNS-JOM @ Balestier. It was one hour journey on bus 21 from there to Tampines so we did some reminiscing about our past.. the guys we so called "dated".

I didn't really recall most of the guys though, but Ayu did. Haha.

First, we talked about bumping into the ex-es. You know, that feeling when we bump into the "kekasih lama" and the awkward-ness of the situation. Haha. Catch up on old times, ask each other how they're doing and all. Then your heart just starts to do the "funny dance". It's like you're starting to know him for the very first time

Then we talked about the guys whom we meet up for the first time. There was the desperate guy who pestered me to be his girlfriend. He was just very desperate. Short, dark, not very fat and of course, desperate for a girlfriend. Gosh. I couldn't recall him exactly, but I definitely remembered the event. Oh and this exact guy was the one Ayu ran away from. GOSH! lol.

There was also this guy whom I couldn't recall at all, but Ayu said that it happened to me. I don't know but she told me that this guy had to go overseas, or was it that he passed away. Oh wait! I think I remembered this guy, as I'm typing this. OOkkkaayy.. now I know who. haha. He was this eurasion mix guy (or so he says) and he's a smart ass (or so he says.. again). But I just doubted him. He said he had all these feelings for me but we never even met. We talked on the phone once in a while and he is this horny bastard who kept asking me for phonesex. LIKE WTF?! Well, I doubted him. I doubted he even existed. During the process of me getting to know him and all, his so called "best friend" kept saying I'm this cheap bitch, always ready to spread my legs wide open and all that kinda shit. Badmouthing me to him. Somehow, I ruined their friendship. -.- Right. A few months, or was it a year, I got to know he passed away, from this so called "best friend" of his. Weird eh? All those feelings, yet we've not met. I have no idea how he looked like. Well he did send photos but I just wasn't convinced at all. And all I know, he passed away. He said he had this sickness of some sort. Howells, that's history.

Then talked about my crushes. Someone whom I liked, which was to Ayu's surprise. Even I don't believe it myself I could fall for someone like him. lol. Then there's the case of the ex whom I got involved in his marriage problems. There was another one who was already engaged and I didn't even know about it until I got to know from his fiancee herself. There's also the ex whom got into prison after a few days we got together because he was accused of having "underage sex" with his ex. Well, he wasn't guilty actually. The girl wanted it on her own free will. So called revenge. So yeah, he was in for a month. Was pretty, hmm.. pitiful, and kinda sad, seeing him in the remand prison, serving his sentence for something which wasn't his fault. Howells, the world is cruel.

There's loads of other weird "jackasses" I came across. I just couldn't recall all of them. These are some of the significant ones. Haha. Gosh, thinking about it, made me convince myself that such things are meant to make you realise that life isn't at all sucky. I'm very sure that it made me the person that I am today. I'm standing on my own two feet.

Hahahaaaahaha.. I'm still laughing just thinking about this post.

My trip

Finally, I'm HOME!

Loads happened during the trip. So this is gonna be a long entry. Bear with me people.

9th March 2008

Arrived at Singapore Cruise Centre, Harbourfront at 12pm. Finally departed at 2pm (Yes. 2 whole hours just to board the cruise). Said our goodbyes to the family.

And there I was, all excited passing through the immigration. OMG! I was going on a cruise!

After passing through immigration. That's SuperStar Gemini.

So the long waited anticipation of stepping into a big ship was finally over. There I was.

omg.
OMG.
OOOOMMGGGG!!

The reception counter and main lobby.

Super humungous to the maximum of the maximum-ests!
So I was all hyped up about getting on the cruise. (You would if you were me)

Bella Vista, the classy restaurant.

Had a western lunch at Bella Vista. A real classy restaurant.
After which, it was a whole lot of time spent walking around the cruise, see what facilities there are, enjoy the open sea breeze. There was (takes in a deeeepp breath..):

Thirteen decks
Swimming pool
Gym
Fourteen restaurants and bars
Jacuzzis
Spa
Hair Salon
Massage parlour
(Takes in another deeepppp breath...)
Duty-free shop
Video arcade
Discos
Library
Activity center
Basketball court
Miniature golf
Child care center
Movie Theater
Concert Hall

The swimming pool. The center of the ship.

Trust me. This isn't all the facilities available there. I might left out a few. The whole four days wasn't enought to really explore the whole ship.

Decided to go over to the gym and try it out. Gosh, I'm so rusty on the threadmill and working out on my legs that I had a major major MAJOR muscle strain on both my calves. I hate it when it happens, explains why I also HATE to run. *smirks*

Galaxy of the Stars, where we held our gatherings.

Get to know the people in the tour group, get a good look on their faces. Dinner, at Bella Vista, was alright though. Well, you can't expect the local malay dishes to be cooked to perfecto on board an international cruise right?

10th March 2008

The second day, decided to try out the Mediterranean International Buffet for breakfast and lunch. OMG! FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD! FOOD HAVEN! (if this goes on, hopes of me slimming down are pretty... slim)

There were loads of food to choose from but I have to limit my choices or I'll end up looking like I'm 7 months pregnant when I get back to Singapore.

So after lunch, had a small gathering with the tour group over at one of the bars. There was light entertainment for the people and soon after it was a stop at Penang. Got ready to embark the ship to do some sight-seeing and a bit of shopping around Penang. Nothing much to see. Mum bought a few stuff for the loved ones at home.

Streets of Penang

The colourful array of those buah asams they sell at the markets in Penang.

After half a day spent over on shore at Penang, was time to head back on board the cruise at 6-ish. Had dinner at the Mediterranean Buffet because Mum and Gran wanted more choices for food so the buffet was the better choice.

The Lido. Big? I know. It's like the Esplanade theater. Almost.

After dinner, we headed to The Lido, (no not the one at Orchard.. duh) for a real good show "The Street Life". It was MARVELLOUS la sey. The amazing Chinese acrobats plus the sizzling hot Brazillian dancers. A real good show. Tho thumbs up. With that, the 2nd day was done deal.

Wonders me why time flies so fast when you're having so much fun... -.-

11th March 2008

It was an early stop over at Phuket so woke up early, proceeded to the Mediterranean Buffet for breakfast and then it was "Hello Phuket!".

Gosh, I loved the beach and the waters and the scenery and the people....(well, you get the idea)

Wonderful scenery of Patong Beach.

We alighted at Patong Beach. I almost forget that I was in Phuket because after looking at the locals there, I mistaken the place to be somewhere in Malaysia. I was so convinced that the locals looked alot like Malays.

So admired the soft glittery sand and the blue waters reflecting the glistening sun rays over the shore. There were alot of foreigners, mostly the whites. There was rental for bikes and other four wheelers, small shops by the beach, a few spots where you can get a massage, hair braids and manicures and pedicures.

So it was just a short admiration of Patong Beach. We had to rush on the tour bus to get some sight-seeing and a lil bit of shopping done. Had lunch at a Muslim restaurant. The owner is Malaysian Chinese but a Muslim who settled down in Phuket. Good food though the Tom Yam was kind of dissapointing though.

However, the tour around Phuket was kind of dissapointing. There were some places that weren't neccesary to visit. As a result, there was lack of time. So no shopping of clothes, bags or what nots. I was excited over getting my hair braided at Patong Beach, but tough luck. Turns out, there was a miscommunication about the time to report back to the cruise. Ended up being late for 1/2 hour. SHEESH. Howells, hair braids can wait I suppose.

Anyways, dinner was a surprise. There was a Captain's Gala Dinner at Bella Vista. So all those high class people were all dressed up, unlike myself, sis and mum. We had slippers on and I was the most slackiest and most selekeh dressed person in the whole entire restaurant. We had no idea that there was a gala dinner. The rest of the tour group were all dressed up. Dammit.

SINGAPORE!!!! jiwa dok. :)

So there was a small celebration over at the restaurant, flags, loads of cake, special ice cream cake dessert, birthday cakes for a few of the birthday people on board the cruise.

Aweeessooommeee~

12th March 2008 (The last day *boohoo*)

So the last day came. Time flew so fast. Had a good breakfast at the buffet. Then went for a Traditional Thai Massage over at the Massage Parlour. Maaayynn, that was the most relaxing, painful yet very very nice time during the whole entire cruise. The masseuse was a young lady yet had strong fingers and hands. It was ssooo sooo nice. One thing I love about the Thai Massage was that it's oil free. I hate the oily feeling of the usual massages.

SWIMMING!!! :)

One of the games that mum joined.

So that was the good massage from the pretty Thai lady. After massage was lunch at Mediterranean Buffet, and I thought that I just completed breakfast a few hours ago. Lunch was done and it was time for another last gathering with the rest of the tour group. Had fun and games and loads of laugh.

Dinner came too soon, at 4.30pm. Tell me, WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND WOULD HAVE DINNER AS EARLY AS 4.30pm?!
Oh wells, the reason is mainly because the ship is scheduled to dock in Singapore Cruise Center at HarbourFront at 7pm. That's why dinner was early.

The captains responsible for getting us to our destination safe and on time.

It was then home sweet home. The cruise reached the Singapore Cruise Center at 6.30pm but we only left at 7.30pm because we had to wait for the docking and get ready the immigration and all that stuff.

So here is my long awaited entry about my cruise. It took me quite some time because of the thousands of pictures to upload.

A great holiday. Take it from me, if you have the money and the time, don't bother taking flights or decide to drive. Go on a cruise and it would be a holiday you will remember for life.

More pictures will be at my multiply here.

Toilet break

Each time an issue comes around, it ends up becoming a laughing matter.
Why?

Well, the issue of Mas Selamat is getting hotter. Yet, no trace of him. Even with the hundreds of government civil servants from the Army, Police and Civil Defence still no sign of him.

Yup, no limping man so far.

Even after Mas Selamat is starring in a new movie, we can't track him.

Hahahahhahahahhahahahhahahaa.

Micheal Scofield is not and never will be Mas Selamat. And vice versa.
Please don't make me hate Wentworth Miller :)

Well, at least not all of us are taking it too seriously. Like this cute lil dude over here...

AHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAHAHAHA!!
So cutttteeeee.... This cute lil one has over 5 million views in YouTube, believe it or not! Just by laughing. And we are doing all sorts of stuff just to get more readers to read about our daily lives :x

Oh yeah and I heard Mas Selamat went to Malaysia.
From where?

Look at the sign when you clear the Malaysia Immigration...

"Selamat Datang!"

Trust me, if you don't get it, read it more than once. I got it after the second time -.-

Filled up weekends

My weekends were filled up with lotsa good stuff. With family, friends.

Saturday:

Went out with the family. It was my first time ever stepping on to Holland Village. Kesian ke aper siak aku. We were like tourists for the day. Holland Village was okay la.

After Holland V, headed to Singapore Flyer area. Tak dapat naik tu bende, jalan2 kat daerah sana pon jadi la kan. Well, obviously there are alot of tourists there. There was a small "park" and there were alot of greenery. A few shops were open there.

Me and family went to the Fish Spa. It's soooo coooolll..!! Fishes feed on your feet. Super ticklish la sey. But it was real nice. And we had a complementary shoulder massage after 1/2 an hour in the Fish Spa. Super bagguussss..

That's dad trying to tahan the ticklish-ness of the fishes.

After which, headed to the new KFC at East Coast. It's located at where Big Splash used to be. Mum said that they changed the original recipe of the kitchen. But it tastes all the same, well for me that is.

That was my Saturday for you.

Sunday:

It was my first kendarat-ing for a wedding, with Ella and GF. I mean really doing a kendarat's job. It was super tiring.

Reached there, pretty2.
At the end of it all, messy hair, horrible outfit and smelly too. lol

Well, fun experience though. Nice meeting you Mazlan. Oh and the rest of the people too, like Izzah, other TP people and Mazlan's relatives. Thanks makcik for the nasi bungkus. Mak bapak sayer suker bangets dgn nasi tu. Diorg ckap seedaaapp. Haha.

I think that's the last of me doing kendarat. Even if I were to do such stuffs again, it would be with slippers and jeans. No baju kurung and heels please. Haha.

Oh and Ella...
Mesuda eh?
*inside joke* LOL!

And to end it all...

MAS SELAMAT MMS ME HIS PICTURE!!!! LOL!!!
Actually no la. It's a mass MMS from the telecom companies. I bet ALL of you had it already. (Oh, and I'm taller than him! lol)

Mas Selamat and his hoax

Where the hell is this Mas Selamat guy?

Can't you just surrender? I'm tired of seeing your face everywhere I go.

Bus stops.
Lifts.
MRT Stations.
Shopping Centres.

The ever first escape from a detention center in Singapore. This could be recorded in the Guiness World Book of Records.

How can a limping man, escape from a center that has surveillance cameras everywhere, securities on 24 hours duty, a one entry and exit point, fences with barb wires and during a toilet break?!

I've had enough dose of Michael Scofield from Prison Break but.....

Mas Selamat?
Michael Scofield?
Same initials but.. definitely no similarities. At all.

I still don't get it man. How can he escape? Carelessness of the security? A well planned escape? Involvement with inside people?
There was even a delay of almost four hours before the public knew about the escape of this dangerous man.

Is the media hiding something?
The media and press are known to cover up flaws and modify the facts.
Is the public blinded by the real truth?
The public does not have other ways in finding out the "behind-the-scenes" action but rather take in on what the press and media are publishing and broadcasting.
Could it be that this man used "magic"?
Other than the crazy Chris Angel Mindfreak, I don't think anyone can just vanish in thin air and I don't think the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W history could have repeated where Allah made the enemies blinded to help Prophet escape.

So what is it?
Why is everyone so clueless about his escape?

Kudos to Mas Selamat for escaping without leaving a single trace. It really is very smart, for a limping man.

Other than having no evidence of his escape, Singaporeans are becoming so afraid. I mean, talk about being kiasu, but I think it's kinda ridiculous. I believe everyone has a mobile phone and so if you spot him, just dial 999. It's an emergency call so even if you are low on credit, you can still call the police. Why is everyone being so panicky and uptight? Relax people.

For all you know, he could have just been playing hide and seek. He could have been in his bunk sleeping for all he cares and we are acting like a bunch of overreacting mofos trying to find him at the smallest of holes and the darkest of jungles.

Other than to scare the shit out of Singaporeans, Mas Selamat has been and become a popular figure, maybe not for many but this one 58 year old man.

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 58-year-old man after he made a threatening call claiming to be escaped Jemaah Islamiyah detainee Mas Selamat Kastari.

In a news release on Friday, police said the man had also threatened to attack multiple locations.

The call was made from a public telephone at Block 10 at Haig Road at about 5.10pm on Thursday.

Investigations into the case are going on.

The Police have issued a warning that it will not hesitate to take firm action against those committing such offences.
(Source)

This is really funny. To the 58 year old man, I give thanks to you for making my day. You are so funny. LOL.

Gosh. Mas Selamat became popular after less than 24 hours. Even Micheal Jackson had to be soaked in bleach and learn the moon dance with glittery jackets and pants with lengths that go down to a few centimetres before his ankle, before everyone fainted for him. Gee.

To Mas Selamat,

If you are in a jungle or forest, and there happens to be a wireless connection you can tap on, and you happened to have stolen a laptop or a wifi-enabled mobile phone after the escape, and you come acress my blog, reading this shit...

JUST BLOODY HELL SURRENDER LA!!!!

Yours Sincerely,
A very irritated Singaporean
