Nenek's 70th

Yesterday was Nenek's 70th birthday and the family had kenduri cum Nenek's birthday celebration over at my place.

It was food food galore!

Too bad didn't manage to snap pictures.

Bone steak.
Bee Hoon goreng.
Black Pepper Crab.
Sardine puffs.
Nonya kuehs.
Upside down pudding (I think)
Assortment of fruits.
Birthday cake. (Courtesy of Royals Premium Cakes & Pies)

Lots more ah.

The funny thing is, I was so busy doing up Nenek's video montage, I DIDN'T EAT!!
At night, I had gastric pangs. BOOOO!!!!~

Well anyway, the celebration was a succes. Everyone loved the video I made.
Alhamdulillah.

To dearest Nenek,

Happy 70th birthday!

The Cucus (Grandchildren)

The Anaks and Menantus (Children and In-Laws)

The whole Green Clan.

P.S. The video montage has a super huge file size. I'll upload it soon. :p

A Note from the Unspoken

Dear Self,

As much as I try not to make you feel hurt, I can't help it but to make you realise what really is going on.
As much as you trust those words, I feel that all of those were just lies.

Noone has proved me wrong about the instincts I have. I know I'm lying if I tell you that everything is gonna be alright. I'm sure you would already know things aren't going as what you hope it would.

So when will we ever be on the winning side? For once, I want to make you feel victorious. I want this to work out for you, but it seems, I can never stop shattering your hopes over and over again.

I'm sorry, for all I did was to hurt you.

When will I ever make you stop losing what you truly want?

Yours sincerely,
Heart

My heart hurts. So bad.

Lost touched.. almost

I guess my updates aren't as frequent as it used to be. I've simply lost touch on the topics to blog about.

It's been too long that I was even surprised with the new blogger dashboard layout.

HUWAAHHH!

Ok la. Quite steylo. Haha.

Well anyways...

What have I been up to that made me forgot that I had a blog?

Nothing.

Other then getting into the final leg of my major project in school... that's really just about it. I'm almost online everyday. Just that I couldn't get my blogging mood going.

Oh.. did I mentioned about my first FTT in July? I failed it.

So of course I retooked it.
Last week, on the 14th.

And guess what?

No really. Guess....

I FAILED!

LOL.

I wanted to laugh after looking at that final screen. I mean seriously, I very much wanted to laugh. I didn't study and didn't even go for one trial test. So how the hell can I expect a pass?!

At least it didn't asked me for the minimum insurance coverage of a vehicle.

-________________________-

I don't even know what MY insurance covers. Pfft.

Oh was wondering, does my insurance cover Liposuction consultation fees and charges? :p

Of course it doesn't DUH. I'm starting on some light exercises to help lose some FATS. LOL. I'm becoming such a fat ass (which I undeniably have been and already am one). I've done too much gorging of sweet treats. I HAVE to lose weight. Well, fasting month is coming.. so HURRAH! A good way to lose weight.............

And put the weight back on again after one month. LOL.

Note: LIGHT exercises.

I'm not a fan of jogging much. :p I keep having muscle strains on my calves which I absolutely hate thus explains the hatred for jogging or running whatsoever. Then again, I'll try as I go along.

YAAYY!! NAQ IS GONA LOSE WEIGHT!

Hopefully I've got enough motivation to carry out what I intend to. LOL.

Till then kids,

Fate

A few weeks back, I was having a chat with an acquaintance on IRC. It was one of them rare occassions where I actually had a good conversation from someone. It started off when someone mentioned she had an accident.

And so he mentioned... "There are no accidents".

He, lets name him D, believes that everything is pre-written. Everything that happens has been planned. For eg, the person who had an accident. It was fated for her to have had an accident on that day, at that time.

But, we don't call it fate. We call it an "accident".

Well, the topic on fate is kinda subjective. It depends on one's belief and personal principles. So everyone has their own opinion.

I had a pretty "intensive" discussion with D regarding the topic on Fate.

Then again, all our Fates lead to one thing... death.

I rest my case.

Over the weekends...

Much has been going on over the weekends. Loads of family time and definitely loads of shopping. So I'm pretty much contented with the retail therapy over at BATAM!

Yes, you guessed it. BATAM!!!!!!

Well anyway, I'd start off with my Saturday first.

Went over to Aloha Changi to survey the cottage and chalets there. A wedding anniversary for my dad's uncle is coming up in Nov so as usual, my parents are very much proactive in planning for such events.

So after much going around Aloha Changi, the decision has been made for the chalet reservation.

After that, it was lepak time at an Indian coffee shop at Changi Village. The roti nan bloody nice la siah. The "I-duno-what-its-called", the thing which you dip the roti nan in, is marvellous. Until my fingers turned orange. LOL.

Well anyway, after Changi Village, headed to Changi Airport Terminal 2 to have dinner with Cik Ajib's family.

It was a trip to Fresh Bulgoggi, a family of Seoul Garden. I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE PRONOUNCED. Nonetheless, food was kinda good. The difference with Fresh Bulgoggi and Seoul Garden is the variety of food and Fresh Bulgoggi is mainly Ala Carte.

Oh and all orders are done electronically....

Service wise... not good. Maybe because everything is done electronically, you don't get much attention from the waiters. But oh wells, as long as I'm full, I'm satisfied. :p

Sunday

Headed over to Batam for a day shopping spree. Oh I so love Batam!

It was an early start. Took the ferry at 9am and reached Batam at around 10+am SG time. Once reached, headed to a shop selling dried foods. After that it was Nasi Padang for lunch. Food was ok, not awesomely good though. After lunch, it was the first stop at DC Mall. Mum bought all the necessary household items to stock up at home. Stock up.. meaning, for instance, she bought 12 boxes of toothpaste -_________-.

Yes.
Ridiculous?
No.
Just saving money.

So after much shopping of household items at DC Mall and a few other stuffs, Mum, my uncle and 2 of my other aunts alighted at IndoThai massage and spa parlour to get a massage. The rest of us headed to Nagoya Hill shopping centre which I did a bit of shopping. bought a top and a sweater, a few accessories and thats it.

After Nagoya Hill, went over to Mega Mall which is the last stop for the day. Bought a Billabong cap and a pair of slippers.

Yes. I literally splurged on loads of stuff over at Batam but trust me, my spending only reached a few dollars above S$100.

And of course... what is Batam without them J.Co Donuts!
4 boxes of 6 to be exact. :p

I'm a very very happy goober! :)
