Iftar last Saturday at my place was kinda kecoh. So many food!!!!!!
There was:

• Asam Pedas
• Soup daging
• Daging ketuk
• Bagedil
• Ayam goreng
• Fried tauge (erk..)

That's the main course. For dessert:

• Bread pudding
• Caremal pudding
• Munchy donuts
• Fruits
• Goreng pisang

Ok like super alot of food. I know. I was super full la after that. Padehal aku tak puasa sia.

Then the whole family terawih-ed together in the living room. Such peace and serenity. Awww....~ Everyone left at about 11+pm.

I had some surfing done and if some of you watched Suria, there was an advert about the website for young muslims naming iNvoKe.sg and the advert showed something like the website enables Muslims to ask questions regarding anything for e.g. Can we dye our hair? or Can we wear nail polish?

Was surfing around this particular web and I clicked on a link which redirected to here..

Sure thing, it got me hooked on it because it showed different individuals asking all types of questions regarding our religion and our actions. Some questions asked was regarding smoking, dating *boypren girlpren la. lagi tak tau.* , and also stuff like shaving of the hair on our skin *not the one on our head. pls eh.. kalau dah tak lei potong rambut, sesatu dah mcm momok.*.

So I was reading the queries and I found this one interesting....

What is Islam's position on entertainment for youngsters?

First of all, let's establish the fact that Islam is not only a religion. Islam is a way of life, and all Muslims have to live it.
Can all of us live without fun and entertainment?

No.

Why?

Life would be boring man!

So c'mon, don't make Islam sound boring.

There are records telling us that even the people in the time of our prophet Muhammad s.a.w had entertainment. Aisha, our prophet's young wife, played with dolls when she was a little girl. People of that time engaged in sports and enjoyed beautiful melodies and music.

Islam, being logical and human's way of life, will never go against our human inclination and needs. And for that, entertainment and seeking pleasure is allowed.
But (haha… yes, there's a but!), while Islam allows entertainment, like food, clothing, sex within marriage, and pretty much all else in the religion, it sets limits, rules and guidelines.

The entertainment we seek for ourselves should not bring us harm. So, if you think
it's fun to sniff glue, take Subutex, bungee jump without the bungee rope, slit
your wrists as a fave pastime, think again. Entertainment should be within the confines of the Islamic law. Meaning, no, you cannot entertain yourself with gambling, watching pole-dancers, drooling over Joakim Gomez or kicking a dog.

And we should also be moderate in entertaining ourselves, and not get carried away. You like cyber-gaming? Go ahead. You like to do graffiti? Go ahead. You like to read novels? Go ahead.

Just make sure you don't lose your head and fail to come back to real life.

Sometimes we get too carried away with entertainment that we forget that such entertainment is sometimes too "made believe" and can be said "almost impossible". Yet such things get the better of us.

I myself do get involve in such entertainment, like the IRC. Sometimes people inflict too much realism in IRC that I myself, frankly speaking, scared of such stuff. It gets too serious that sometimes terbawak-bawak until rivals are made, eventhough you don't know who that person really is behind every desktop or laptop.

Also, sometimes authority is being used to their advantage. For example, hackers. Sometimes when there is some misunderstanding between parties, then tend to go to extreme measures and making use of their skill of these IT gadgets to breech the privacy of people.

Extremist? You can say that.
