Going Blue

I decided to go blue today.

I had a blue top on and just now I had my dental appointment to change by bands to a nice shade of baby blue. Cool kan?! Heh.

Well anyway, met up with GF and Rafta at Century Square to have lunch. Walked around and did some "window shopping". Meng-geram jerrr tgk baju2. After which, Rafta went off and me and GF headed to Starbucks for some chill-out session.

Oh, and thanks to GF's friend, Lina (i think), she was working there, and she gave us a slice of oreo cheesecake and the new york cheesecake. Thanks kawan Diana. LoL.

So I satisfied two of my cravings today, cheesecake and a good cup of Starbucks. And of course, hanging out with GF. WOOOHOOO!

Oh and I realised that we are always in the same situation, in terms of the "BGR" part. It always happens at the same time. In the end, both of us are clueless on what to do, because both of us are in the same situation so there is no point confiding in each other for advice. Betape kental nye kiter. Haha.

Howells.... My hair is turning into a mohawk wannabe.

I'll end this post with my muka tempek ok?

P.S. Why you so touching one ah?

Arts Fest 2008

Finally over...

I can at least settle down and start having mum's home cook dinner at home with the family. YAY-ness!!

Art Fest... good crowd. Walaupun sumbang mambang, all thanks ot moi. -.-
Nonetheless, it was fun. Combined performance with the dudes of PST. Mengeratkan silaturahim? Boleh katakan ah eh. It's rare to see a combined performance by Nira and PST but it was great working with them.

As of now, I'm kicking in full gear towards my academics.

But right now, let me just concentrate on playing Dynasty Warriors on my PSP.
MUSOU!!! :x

Earth Day

So it's Earth Day. Big deal.

We're still wasting electricity.
We still use up paper.
We still waste water.
We still contribute to the thinning ozone layer.

So what's the big hoo-haa about Earth Day?

We're still killing Earth.
Poor Earth Day. So much for the existence.

Well.. nonetheless...

Happy Earth Day!

Back to school..

Finally.... Year 3.

I can't believe this is the last lap. Why so fast? Why oh why?!

First day of school, I woke up late for my 8 am lecture. Haha. What a nice way to start my first day of school.

Well, not really looking forward to starting school? Why? Coz of the new rules they imposed on wearing proper outfits to school. I just don't get why we have to do so. I mean, well maybe the lecturers want us to practice the habit of wearing a proper work attire.. then again.. we're still in school. Even business students aren't required to do so.

I mean, my course, the students are either allowed to wear formal or smart casual. Smart casual.. you think that may sound compromising. Not entirely. Smart casual is equivalent to formal minus the tie, blazer and what nots. I'm not saying that it is a bad idea. It's just that I don't see the need to do so. At the end of the day, we're still students. Even University students don't have a long sleeve shirt, tie, blazer and a pair of dress pants for a uniform.

Enough with the outfit issue...

It's not like I can do anything about it.

Other than that, first day of school.. was okay. Though Monday is the most suckiest day ever. I will have 8-10am lecture... and a dreadful five hour break from 10am-3pm before the next 4 hour lab session starts which ends at 7pm. So much for Monday blues. My Monday would turn purple instead.

P.S. I miss Herdiana Bte Md Ishak... :(

Blissful experience

The decision I made a week ago was all worthwhile.

Friendships made.
Experience gained.

I didn't regret the decision, thanks to someone. It simply was an unforgettable experience with them.

So here goes...

To Tina,
Thanks babe for the invite. If not, I wouldn't have had such an experience :)

To Paluan (Farhanah, Aikin, Shida),
It was great working with you girls. You all very funny la. I felt very comfortable and you girls were so down-to-earth and friendly, I felt so homely. Thanks girls for giving me such a chance. It was a learning experience for me and I've gained more than just memories.

To the whole of Dayang,
You girls are such dears. Your hospitality was unexplainable. All of you were funny. Trainings were always filled with laughters and it was never boring. I'm gonna miss all of you, really. Eventhough it was only one week, I felt like I've known you girls since the start. Thanks girls for such an opportunity to work with you people. I'll definitely keep in touch with y'all.

Back again

Guess who's back back back.... back again gain gain..

Sorry for the abrupt hiatus. Had a lil bit of crisis but everything is cool now. I'm fine. I didn't get into some sort of accident or went on a long holiday or something. That aside... so what's been happening...

-I'm now in my Prac 3 for my bike
-School is starting soon (the new timetable is rockin'!)
-I'm dead tired

I'm beginning to love bike lessons. I mean, the instructors are funny and the antics of some of the riders are funnier. I never fail to laugh. I fall at least once (if this continues on forever, SSDC might have to stop bike practicals for the meantime just to stock up on new bikes). For instance...

I was having my prac 3 yesterday. The instructor was a malay dude, Hasli. They were 5 other guys and I was the only girl. We had to do the emergency brake, the narrow plank and the pylon slalom course. At the narrow plank course, we are suppose to balance on the plank for at least 6 seconds and our legs are suppose to grip the bike tank. So this Chinese dude, he was about to lose balance his body posture was already leaning to one side. His left leg is already out to the left but his right is still gripping the tank. Can you like imagine how funny he looks?! I was laughing at the other end of the course because Hasli was already making fun of him.

Hasli: "Oi! Your leg grip the tank la! Why your body lean to one side? Your leg also why liddat? Why open one side like that?"
Chinese dude no. 15: *laughs*

Haha. Irritating bugger. I didn't mean to laugh la but it was damn funny. Ok maybe my story wasn't that funny, but it was okay. Haha. Other than funny antics, I almost banged into a bike the other day. Gosh, it was a class 2A bike siah. If I hadn't slowed down earlier, I would have hit the bike. It was my right of way but he wasn't aware of me coming from his right. Class 2B nak fight dgn 2A? Carik pasal siak tu. Haha.

Enough with my bike stories.

8 Teens Arrested for Video-Taped Beating

I took this from Abg Amy's (Cousin) blog and it surprised me on how daring teens are nowadays. It also came out on the news tonight and it wonders me, why.. WHY are the teens resorting to such things? Attention? Popularity? Think that it's cool?

If most of you missed the news or just simply didn't watch it, here's what I'm talking about.

8 Teens Arrested Over Taped Beating

(April 8) - Eight teenagers have been arrested after filming the beating of another teen and threatening to post the video on the Internet, sheriff's officials said.

Victoria Lindsay was attacked on March 30 by six teenage girls when she arrived at a friend's home, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.

Two girls confronted Lindsay when she walked in, yelling and threatening her, an arrest report showed. Another girl struck her in the head several times and then slammed her head into the bedroom wall, knocking her unconscious.

-Source

This was extracted. It's not the entire article or not I'd be accused of copyright infringement. LoL.

Gosh. What are the teens up to these days. I'm not saying I'm no different but I don't resort to such violence and inflict pain and hurt on someone like that just so that I'd get popular on the internet.

On top of that, a parent of one of the girls could blame that poor victim for the one provoking the girls and was the one who ignited the sparks and caused the fight to start in the first place. For goodness sake, SHE WAS LURED INTO THAT BLOODY HOUSE! There were even 2 boys to guard that goddamn house while the rest of the girls beat the hell out of Lindsay. Still has the cheek to say that her daughter is innocent as a virgin. SHEESH!

In the first place, why taped such an act? And also to have an intention to upload it to the web, just for popularity. It's just plain stupidity. Oh wells, you can't get much out of a bunch of teenage girls who have posters up of N'Sync or Backstreet Boys up in their bedrooms can you?

Such sadistic morons.

At KKH

Today, followed the parents to send Nenek for her X-ray appointment and to visit the doctor at KKH.

Initial plan was to go merayap after the appointment but alas, Nenek had to be warded for a night for observation and to be given some oxygen thing (no idea what it's really called) to help relieve her weezing. It's not asthma or anything. Just a case of bronchitis, inflammation of lungs.

I couldn't stand the long waiting hours at the hospital clinic. I mean, what's the point of having to set appointment times when eventually, the appointment times aren't on time? I get it there's so many patients but couldn't they work on a first come first serve basis instead? They can still set the appointment dates, but I think they should do away with the timings. Whoever comes first, is served first. I mean I pity the patients to have to wait sooooo long y'know.

Oh wells, not that I can do anything about it.

So Nenek is now at KKH. Hope her stay wouldn't get extended. Get well soon ok Nenek? I love u. :)

Thong-ified

It's been ages since I last went out with GF. Her, busy with her attachment at CGH and myself busy with.... sitting at home.

So had a good meet up with her. The usual laughter and sorts.

Something real funny came up today at Bugis.

Was walking through Bugis Street and oh wells, the usual heaps of clothes all over and also there were shops selling thongs and bikinis.

Which came this joke about getah rambut (hair bands).

There was this skimpy looking thong being sold at this shop. The thong hardly even covers a mole on your ass. Seriously, it's barely there even if it really is physically there. And what with this horrible looking flower at the back which I don't understand why it's there.

GF, with the utmost spontaneous reaction...

"Eh ni aper siah. Getah rambut per?"
[Eh, what's this? Hair band is it?]

LOL!

That really was very funny. I mean, seriously, the thong, holds no purpose. It's so..... NOT USABLE and it doesn't hold the purpose of why it was created in the first place. Haha. Gosh, I would like to see GF using that on HER hair. LOL! Now I know what to get her for her 20th. :x

Luuu paaarrniiiiii aahhh GF. LOL

Howells, great day spent. Got to meet the dearest darling Amsyar at GF's place. So chubby siah. I have to admit, he wins in the cheek department. Gosh, its like falling out of place. Haha. No offence. I still love you ok Amsyar. I'm still your "friendly monster" as what your evil aunt calls me *rolls eyes to GF*

P.S. Awww... someone's away at camp. :(

Happy Day!

Today, I'm super duperly elated!

After 7 bloody times being stuck and repeating Prac 1 (yes you read it right. SEVEN BLOODY TIMES), and only when I was about to notice that the light is getting dimmer at the end of the tunnel... God has blessed me today. I prayed for today to be the LAST time I'd have to take anymore of my Prac 1..

And YES!!!!

I HAVE FINALLY PASSED MY BLOODY PRAC 1!!!!

*does victory dance*

WWWOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!

Other than, something funny happened during prac today. There was this malay dude, he looks so kid but I bet he's a bit older than I am. So he came a bit late for the prac but there were altogether four of us for that session. During the prac session, we're suppose to stop at the stop line. I was behind this malay dude. The instructor was there. So I was waiting for this malay dude to go off. He turned back, so I was guessing he was checking his blindspot. The road was clear, but he still didn't budge. It was so bloody hot, I was sweating, and there is this dude waiting for god knows what.

Then the instructor said.. "Eh number 15! You waiting for what? Waiting for me to give you the Tap and Go card uh?!"

The malay dude "Oh go ah?! Heh. Sorry sorry."

AAAHAHAHAHAHHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH!!

So damn funny siak. I kept on laughing. After the session, he asked me, "Eh, dah prac 2 eh? Kiter pass? Eh biar betol."

Then the instructor said "Oh you don't want to pass uh? Come I fail you la."

Haha. Instructor perangai mcm suar. Hahaha.. funny siah.

I did spot some eye candy(S) though.

Other than that, I'M A HAPPY GIRL TODAAAYYYY!!!! LIKE FINALLY! :)

P.S. Natasha IS a nice name hokay. Alia Natasha.. OK WHAT! :x Ok.. maybe I'd compromise for your idea of a nice name okay.

I PASS MY SUPP PAPER!!!!!!

Woooooooooohooooooooooooo~

Alhamdulillah. Eventhough I was busy and too caught up with preparations for the Singapore Education Award performance with Nira darlings, and having to sit for that beladi supp paper on the actual performance day and ended paper at 4.30, when the reporting time at Raffles hotel was supposedly at 2, it was all worth it.

Good job Naqiah! *pats self on back*

**********

My handphone is cancelled of all outgoing processes (calls and smses) because parents forgot to settle the bill. Sheesh. I was so limiting my handphone usage like by alot. Oh wells, they're gonna have to settle it soon because they're subscribing toMioTV and it's gonna be under my name. Woah. I feel so old, with bills coming and printed with my name.. Heh.

Other than that, I'm still able to be reached by the world. Incoming calls and smses are still available. So people, ring me up and lets talk! :)

P.S. I smell DSLR coming my waaayyy.... *grins*
