What.....

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
- Leo Buscaglia

A friend once said to me "Sometimes, we tend to focus on the big things that we must have. Most often, we lose sight of the smallest gestures that we receive."

It's true. How often do you say "Thanks" to someone who bought for you a drink? Or smiled back at a stranger who gave you his/her smile? Or asked him/her about his/her day eventhough yours was as bad?

Human beings, I believe, are the most complicated of all things on Earth. We feel, we talk, we have temptations, we think and we touch. Yet, not all of us make use of what is given to us to our advantage. Instead, we tend to forget and just see everything as what it is rather than giving it another second look to decide for real.

We never did believe the sincerity of oneself. Nonetheless, we point out the wrong in something rather than complimenting what was done right.

Even so, a simple compliment is of no value now eventhough it was truly from the heart. Everything is taken advantage of, in a wrong way. So what's left to be pleased about?

When it's right, it's wrong, When it's wrong, it's right.
When it's good, it's bad. When it's bad, it's good.

And so we ask ourselves,

Will we ever learn to appreciate anything? Or do we wait until we lose it?

The odds are infinite. I guess it's up to anyone to decide.

As for me, I'll leave it as it is.
